To add a new user to your Javelin account: 1. Select Users from the left navigation menu 2. Select 'Create User' 3. Enter the required information in all fields: Create User -First Name -Last Name -Email -Password - The user can change their password on their first log in through the 'Profile' section. -Companies - Type the NAME of one or more company that the new user is to be added to, and select the company from the dropdown menu. This is an important section, please do not leave empty. Email Notifications Select which Email Notifications the user is to receive: Choose for the user to receive email alerts of all Disputed transaction, all Invoice payments, all Authorized Payments, and Export Payout Transactions. Authorized Payment emails will alert the user if a transaction remains in an Authorized state after 14 days, allowing the transaction to be manually captured or released before the Authorization expires.
Export Payout Transactions checkbox is useful for people in the Accounts department, as it automatically sends the payout transactions report to their email once the payout is processed. 5. Select 'Create User' to complete. The user has now been successfully created, generating a verification email to the new user. This email is active for 1 hour only. Once the user verifies their email they will be logged in to their new Javelin account. Please note: It is advisible for the User to change their password to one of their own choosing in the 'Profile' section on their first log in.
Verification email Expired
If the new user has not verified their email within the allotted 1 hour, they can generate a new email by selecting 'Forgot Your Password?' at log in. This will generate an email allowing the user to verify their email and set their new personal password.
I created a user without attaching a company
Should a user be created without any company being attached, the user will still be created and verification email triggered. However the new user will not appear in the Users section and will not be able to see any information in Javelin.
To resolve this, please contact support@javelinhq.com with the user's email and we will get it fixed.
